Chad Wright updates city officials on tribal activities

Economic development is a major priority for Puyallup Tribe. Chad Wright, executive director of Marine View Ventures, gave an update on the tribe’s recent activities and future plans during a recent meeting of Tacoma City Council’s Economic Development Committee.
Marine View Ventures is the tribe’s economic development arm. Wright gave some background on the organization. It was incorporated in August 1989 as Puyallup International. Later it went by the initials EII. Two years ago the current name was selected.
